Elbows Linked: Canada 160

Announcing a non-partisan initiative to strengthen Canadian unity through music.

Calling all songwriters across Canada!

Write a song about what Canada means to you.

Tell us about YOUR Canada!

What songs in your catalogue speak to what this country means to you?

Elbows Linked and the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown are excited to invite Canadian Songwriters to contribute to The Great Canadian Playlist. Our goal is to create Canada’s largest digital album of Canadian perspectives, 160 (or more!) songs by March 31, 2027.

The Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown is planning a Canada 160 event to reopen and rededicate the newly expanded Confederation Centre as Canada’s National Memorial to its Founders, and a symbol of Canadian unity.

This digital repository will be available to media across the country to use as a part of the Canada 160 Celebrations in July 2027, and Canada 160 will showcase several of these songs as part of a celebratory concert.

We are excited to announce JUNO and Order of Canada recipient Connie Kaldor, is the first to contribute an original song titled “Elbows Linked” Watch this space for the link once it is registered with SOCAN!
